We’re all about experiences and creating memories, so here, we’re sharing some of our travel ‘wish list’ goals. Let us help you realise some of yours and become better global citizens!
1. Take a few more long weekend trips
After all a change of scenery is always a good idea right, and a great opportunity to celebrate a special occasion or anniversary, or simply celebrate life. I’ve got my eye on a quick stay at Halycyon House – a gorgeous boutique hotel located at one of the best surf breaks at Cabarita Beach, just 15 minutes south of the Gold Coast Airport, and 30 minutes north of Byron Bay!
2. Cross a new continent off your list
Why not Antarctica, and with cruise specials to the white continent out now, there’s never been a better time to start planning your adventure with us than right now!
3. Take a once in a life time trip
This is a game changer travel experience that is so special and unlikely to be repeated, which could very well be Antarctica too, but for me it would have to be about nature and wildlife and undoubtedly being able to see the mountain gorillas in Rwanda would be a dream come true adventure experience!
4. Visit a major city you’ve never been to before
Air New Zealand have just announced they’ll be flying directly to Taipei ex Auckland come November 2018, so this fascinating city just got more accessible. Nĭ hăo Taipei!
5. Travel for a unique purpose or special interest
For sporting buffs, no doubt you’ve heard….there’s a wee rugby tournament looming in 2019 with Japan this time playing host. Why not become a part of an All Blacks supporters tour as well as enjoying so many aspects of what this country has to offer! #bethere Contact us for tour itinerary options and pricing!
6. Take a roadie!
A series of landslides closed sections of the Pacific Coast Highway in California last year. Now re-opened and welcoming visitors again, this glorious route through Big Sur, and also thanks partly to the fantastic HBO drama “Big Little Lies” which was set in Monterey, this road trip is firmly back on our radar! Where we’d choose to stay along the way? The fabulous Post Ranch Inn….hands down!
Put your Kiwi summer on hold this Christmas (summer will still be here when you get back) and head to northern Finland for the best chance of seeing the auroral colours, and pay Santa a visit while you’re there! We’d love to stay at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in one of their glass igloos!
8. Try a new island destination
For most, Bali needs no introduction, but venture just an hours flight away to Sumba Island and home to Nihi Sumba Island (formerly Nihiwatu). It’s been voted ‘Best Hotel in the World’ by Travel + Leisure magazine, two years running in 2016/2017 for a reason!
9. Plan a foodie trip
Go on a gastronomic journey (or stopover). With the world your oyster, Tokyo is a culinary rock star, having the most Michelin star restaurants of any city in the world. In fact, three of the top five Michelin star restaurants in the world are in Japan. For sushi lovers, you must check out ‘Jiro Dreams of Sushi’
10. Take a family vacay away
Of course, the destination may vary depending on the age of your kids, but for families where a beach beacons, Fiji is a safe bet. The standard of child care for babies and toddlers is fantastic, as well as great kids clubs for young children and plenty to do that will satisfy even the most challenging tween or teenager! Too many great choices to list, so contact us to discuss your next Fiji family getaway.
