Welcome to the ultimate 80’s experience! Lucy Lawless is set to star in ‘Pleasuredome’, a next level, immersive theatre production!
Set in an underground nightclub in 80’s New York – think Studio 54 – this epic musical of a raucous night of sex, drugs, cocaine and glamour plays out on the dance floor with audiences immersed into the club with standing areas, table service and arena seating with screens around the club to catch all the action! On arrival to the venue, you’ll walk down a specially constructed New York street with shops you’ll actually be able to buy stuff from before being transported into the Pleasuredome club. So this isn’t your run of the mill ‘sit down at your seat in the theatre’ sort of show.
Michael Hurst is naturally directing – those of you who caught Hurst’s ‘Chicago’ a few years ago (the best rendition I’ve seen yet), are sure to love his latest musical theatre production offering.
Performing alongside Lucy will be Sol3 Mio’s Moses Mackay, Neighbours’ star Stephen Lovatt and Vince Harder of Lion King fame.
Feel free to pull your 80’s inspired clothes out from the back (or front) of your closet, start swatting up on your 80’s music hits and bring your 80’s A-game people! Come party, come reminisce…we sure will be!
